Markdown from canonical URLs

Supported pages return concise Markdown when a requester explicitly sends Accept: text/markdown. The URL stays canonical; Vary: Accept keeps the HTML and Markdown cache variants separate.

Coverage includes the home page, directories, category hubs, model and manufacturer profiles, rankings, comparisons, the buying guide, and the methodology. Unsupported pages continue to return their normal HTML representation. The same representations are available at explicit.md alternates, such as /models/unitree-g1.md, for clients that do not send an Accept header.

One factual source of truth

Markdown is generated from the same typed catalog modules as the visual site. It is not a hidden second database and does not contain agent-only claims. Prices remain in their official native currencies, missing information stays missing, sources remain attached, and modeled used values remain explicitly labeled.

Agent interaction contract

Public catalog and discovery endpoints are read-only GET resources.
Preserve evidence dates, native currencies, uncertainty labels, and source links.
Never turn a missing price, specification, stock state, or valuation into an assumed fact.
Valumech is a research directory, not a seller or checkout. Manufacturer and retailer links cross into independent third-party services.
Obtain the user’s confirmation before sending contact information, requesting a quote, ordering, or making a payment on an external service.
Cite the canonical human-facing page rather than an internal representation URL.
